The will of Deacon John Doane, Sr., (Abt 1590-1685):
Though it is very faint, you can still read parts of it. This is where I got the title for this blog several years ago: from the phrase,"in your journey heavenward..." See a transcription here at my previous post: http://huseland.blogspot.com/2012/07/john-doanes-will.html

The will of John Doane, Jr. (1633-1708):
Notice that John Jr. copies a large section from his father's will, as a spiritual preamble that inspires his own confession of faith and prayer for his children to not lose interest in Jesus Christ.

So did you pick up on flax that was willed to you?
Sadly I never got a flake of flax. Did you notice the inventory item, "liquor for the 'prisers" to pay them back for doing the appraising of the estate?
